Models are not theory…

And the relationships between models and theory are not fixed. They are’t even fixed between the target system/phenomenon and theory or the target system/phenomenon and models. Some models are explicitly constructed from theory — the methodological norm in received economics. In other fields, theory is induced from models. Might I point you to:
